Cheryl Clarke Motivational Coach is a platform uniquely created to provide people the opportunity to actualize their dreams. Coupling spiritual principles and entrepreneurial practices, Cheryl’s mission is to educate, empower and equip the everyday person on how to create a life that works without sacrificing their family.
Married at the tender age of 19 to her high school sweetheart, Gregory Clarke, and a mother by the age of 20; Cheryl and her husband know all too well the importance of balance and perseverance. They attribute their spiritually rooted, strong family upbringings as the key that helped them attain their life dreams. They have been married for 21 years and are the proud parents of six beautiful children: Janaia, J’son, Jordan, Jael, Jayla and Gregory Clarke Jr.
Cheryl successfully received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Cheryl has been a passionate entrepreneur since the young age of 23 when she made the grueling choice to leave her full-time job, and pursue a life that allowed her the opportunity to raise her children. Soon after, Cheryl opened up her first child care facility and for the last 18 years has served as the Director of Operations for more than five facilities in the New York City area.
The journey hasn’t always been easy, but Cheryl has picked up a few major principles along the way that she uses to empower those around her daily. For example, the Law of Attraction and the idea that “If you build it, they will come,” are philosophies that she continues to lean one when times get uncertain and tough. She reflects on the many teachings from her mentor Archbishop E. Bernard Jordan and how the practical universal principles were used to help launch her first child care business in 1998 on faith out of the basement of her home.
In the beginning, Cheryl remembers teaching the curriculum to her three children, but ran it as if it were a class of 12 children. Along with her husband every evening, Cheryl would walk the neighboring streets hanging up flyers and placing ads on community boards. By the end of the year, six additional children enrolled at his childcare.
From meditating on the practical principles to repeating daily affirmations, Cheryl says she always stayed focused on the main goal. Her priority was to serve the children and their parents, and pour out her talents into them to grow and prosper them. In activating the Law of Attraction, things began to shift forward in the right direction. And even when she experienced attacks by a neighbor who coincidentally opened up a childcare, resulting in her losing clients, before gaining all her clients back, Cheryl stayed grounded in her spiritual principles.
These life experiences surged a passion to provide a coaching platform to share the wisdoms gained along the journey.
To date, Cheryl has touched more than 3,000 people worldwide with her mission to share her own success strategies that will empower and equip the everyday individual on how to succeed in life.
“I want to thank you for your wisdom and patience and even though we may not see eye to eye on most subjects I want you to know that I do listen to all your points and I do think about them. There is a strong sense of self-confidence with an assertive person and while self-confidence is an important quality to have both personally and professionally, when delivered harshly it can come off as being very AGGRESSIVE: I want to thank you for telling me the difference. I have enjoyed our time together. Thank you.”
“The last two weeks has been hectic, with finals, and putting the last finishing touches on my paper, caused me a lot of stress. I was stressed due to the fact that, I always put the needs of other before my own. An hour always turns into two and half of my day turns into my entire day wasted. By me putting the needs of others before minds, I was overwhelmed with my assignments. My priorities were all screwed up and I used to paid dearly. Through your teaching, I learned to speak clearly and put me first.”
“I’d like to thank you for an uncomfortable but eye opening experience. This class has challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. I enjoyed to working with you as my life coach.”
“Just wanted to send you a note to thank you again for the wonderful seminar this summer. Not only did I learn things about myself, I also enjoyed hearing the lives and experiences of the other women in the room. I feel that you truly do have a gift of allowing others to feel comfortable enough to open up themselves to you. My only regret was that I did not sign up earlier. But I do believe that our path’s crossed at this time for a purpose. One of the greatest lessons I learned from you is that in order to truly be happy, I have to continue working on myself and that’s exactly what I plan on doing. In one more week I will officially become a college graduate and embark and the next chapter. I’m excited for all of the things to come both personally and professionally. I hope that you enjoy the rest of the summer and I look forward to hearing from and working with you soon.”
